The tech world is abuzz as Samsung gears up for its highly anticipated Unpacked event this July, where it will showcase the Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Buds 4, and its new line of foldable smartphones. At the forefront of these leaks is the much-awaited Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Recent insights from Android Authority, which delved into the animation files of One UI 8.0, have confirmed some exciting features of the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Notably, the device will sport an impressive 4-inch cover screen that elegantly wraps around the dual camera setup, reminiscent of the Motorola RAZR 60 Ultra. For context, its predecessors, the Z Flip 5 and Flip 6, featured a slightly smaller 3.4-inch external display.
In addition to the cover screen, the main display boasts a 6.85-inch screen, offering a sleek aesthetic with its notably thin 1.2 mm bezels. Powering this beauty is an upgraded battery with a capacity of 4,300mAh, a step up from the 4,000mAh battery found in the Flip 6.
While details about the processor remain under wraps, there’s speculation about a potential switch to the Exynos 2500, although Samsung’s foldable series has traditionally been powered by Snapdragon processors. The device is expected to launch with Android 16-based One UI 8.0, promising up to 7 years of software updates.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the camera setup on the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which includes a 12 MP front camera, a 5 MP main camera, and a 12 MP ultra wide-angle camera.
