Samsung is gearing up to expand its lineup with a new Fan Edition model, following the recent launch of the Galaxy S25 series. A fresh leak provides insights into the phone’s existence and the chipset it will feature. Samsung seems committed to its Exynos strategy for another generation. Let’s delve into the details…
For those keeping track, the Galaxy S25 FE will succeed last year’s Galaxy S24 FE and is anticipated to debut in the final quarter of 2025, likely in September or October. The latest information shared by GalaxyClub confirms the phone’s development under the code name “R13” and model number “SM-S731B”.
On the hardware front, Samsung makes a surprising move: the Galaxy S25 FE will be powered by the Exynos 2400e processor from the previous year. While the Exynos 2400e, built on the 4nm process, delivers adequate performance for everyday use, it falls short in terms of efficiency and power when compared to newer chips like the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. This selection indicates that the Exynos 2500 series is still under development.
Software-wise, the device will be current, launching with Android 16-based One UI 8, which is set to debut alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 in July. The S25 FE will feature this fresh interface right out of the box.
Although the display and battery specifics for the Galaxy S25 FE remain unspecified, it is expected to maintain the 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with 1,900 nits brightness and the 4,700 mAh battery found in the S24 FE.
