Rockstar Games Announces New GTA 6 Release Date

Rockstar Games has officially announced a change in the release schedule for Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6). Originally slated for an earlier debut, the eagerly anticipated title is now set to launch on 26 May 2026. The development team cited the need for additional time to ensure the game’s completion, emphasizing their commitment to delivering a product that meets their high standards of excellence.

The developers have described GTA 6 as one of their most ambitious projects to date. Take-Two Interactive, the game’s publisher and parent company of Rockstar Games, has thrown its full support behind the postponement. For some time, rumors circulated suggesting a 2025 release for GTA 6. However, with the latest announcement, the release date has been officially confirmed as 26 May 2026. Although players will need to wait a little longer, the anticipation is building for what promises to be a giant production.
