Realme is gearing up to make waves in the final quarter of the year with its forthcoming flagship, the GT 8 Pro. Recent leaks about the device’s technical specifications suggest that the company is poised to launch its most groundbreaking phone yet, particularly in terms of camera capabilities. The smartphone is expected to feature Qualcomm’s cutting-edge high-end processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite, a successor to the acclaimed Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
In the realm of photography, the GT 8 Pro will reportedly be equipped with a remarkable 200-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor on its rear. This sensor, believed to be the Samsung HP9, is designed to excel in low-light conditions, delivering exceptional 12-megapixel images. This lens is anticipated to be the most powerful telephoto option available in its category.
The display is also undergoing a notable transformation. Departing from the curved OLED panel of its predecessor, the new model will boast a flat OLED screen with 2K resolution. The fingerprint sensor will continue to be an ultrasonic type, seamlessly integrated under the display. Additionally, the device is expected to feature a water-resistant design.
On the energy front, the GT 8 Pro aims to satisfy users with a robust battery capacity. The phone is rumored to house a substantial 7,000 mAh battery, complemented by 100W fast charging capabilities. The design will incorporate a sleek metal center frame, and the device will launch with Android 16-based Realme UI 7.
Given these significant hardware enhancements, an increase in price is anticipated. The Realme GT 8 Pro is projected to start at approximately $560. Furthermore, Realme is reportedly planning to popularize periscope cameras across its upcoming product lineup, following the introduction of the GT 8 Pro.
