After the success of the Nord 4 launched last summer, OnePlus is gearing up to present its latest offering: the OnePlus Nord 5. Recent leaks on the X platform offer a glimpse into the phone’s impressive technical specifications.
The OnePlus Nord 5 is poised to make a significant leap in performance, thanks to the new Dimensity 9400e chipset. Although yet to be officially unveiled, this processor is anticipated to provide a noteworthy boost compared to the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 used in its predecessor, enhancing overall device performance.
The device will feature a flat OLED panel with a resolution of 1.5K, offering a 120 Hz refresh rate for a fluid user experience. Additionally, the in-display fingerprint sensor will enhance security and user convenience.
While maintaining a camera setup similar to its predecessor, the OnePlus Nord 5 will include a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. For selfies, a 16-megapixel front camera will be available.
The 7000 mAh battery is one of the standout features, offering a substantial increase in capacity over the previous model’s 5500 mAh. With support for 100W fast charging, the device promises rapid energy replenishment, setting a new standard in fast-charging technology.
Combining a glass back panel with a plastic frame, the Nord 5 also includes a dual speaker system and IR blaster, enhancing its utility. These features contribute to a well-rounded, user-friendly design.
Expected to launch in the Indian market, the OnePlus Nord 5 is rumored to carry a price tag of approximately INR 30,000 (around $355), offering competitive value in the mid-range segment.
