Nvidia has revealed its latest innovation, the DGX Spark, set to hit the market on October 15. This personal AI supercomputer is remarkable for its small, desktop-friendly size and its ability to run advanced AI models efficiently. Described by Nvidia as ‘the world’s smallest AI supercomputer,’ Spark offers unprecedented capabilities for its dimensions.
Available Soon, orders for the DGX Spark will commence on Wednesday, October 15, through nvidia.com. It will also be made available through select US retailers and partners. While the original price was noted at $3,000, the latest press release indicates an increase to $3,999. Additionally, third-party manufacturers including Acer, Asus, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo, and MSI are permitted to customize their own versions of Spark.
Under the hood, Spark is powered by the Nvidia GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, supported by 128 GB of unified memory and a substantial up to 4 TB of NVMe SSD for storage. With its impressive capability of delivering up to 1 petaflop of AI processing power, Spark can comfortably handle AI models with as many as 200 billion parameters. Compact enough for desktop settings, Spark easily operates from a standard electrical outlet.
Notably, Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang personally handed over the DGX Spark to Elon Musk at the SpaceX Starbase facility recently. Furthermore, Nvidia has a more powerful offering named Station, designed like a PC case, though its market release and pricing remain undisclosed. The DGX Station leverages the Nvidia GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Superchip processor, boasting up to 20 petaflops of AI computation and a massive 784 GB of unified system memory.
