Team Ninja is set to take the gaming world by storm once again with the announcement of Nioh 3, the eagerly awaited third installment in their dark action RPG series. Scheduled for release in 2026, this game will be available on both PlayStation 5 and PC platforms.
Excitingly for fans, a demo is now available exclusively for the PS5. This sneak peek will be accessible until June 18th, offering a taste of what’s to come.
The new chapter was unveiled with a surprise trailer at Sony’s State of Play event on June 5th. The trailer showcased epic battles against giant demons, intense combat sequences, and the series’ signature dark, Japanese-inspired atmosphere.
The Nioh series, initially launched in 2017 and followed by a sequel in 2020, is set to introduce substantial innovations in this new game. Among these is the introduction of two unique fighting styles: Samurai and Ninja.
The Samurai style will focus on the melee combat mechanics that fans have come to love, while the Ninja style introduces a more dynamic approach with swift dodges, aerial maneuvers, and agile attacks. Players will have the ability to switch between these styles seamlessly to gain strategic advantages in battles.
One of the most significant changes in Nioh 3 is the shift from the traditional level-based structure to an “open space” system. This new approach will allow players to freely explore the hauntingly beautiful, dark realms of Japan’s Sengoku period. However, it is important to note that the game will not feature a completely open world.
The game’s Steam page is now live, though it currently lacks Turkish subtitle and language support.
