Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç expressed strong disapproval of Israel’s recent assault on the civilian vessel “Madleen,” which embarked on a mission to deliver essential humanitarian aid to Gaza. Through a statement on his social media platform, Tunç highlighted that Israel’s actions targeted not only unarmed civilian volunteers but also the collective conscience of the global community.
Minister Tunç emphasized that the attack on the human rights advocates aboard the ship was an affront to all humanity, asserting: “This assault by genocidal Israel has once more demonstrated to the world its profound lack of morality and conscience. Israel persistently violates not just the rights of the Palestinian people, but the core tenets of international law and United Nations resolutions with its ongoing systematic aggressions.”
“This reprehensible act, characterized by the killing of children, assaults on aid ships, and the targeting of journalists and healthcare workers, must not evade justice. The Israeli leaders responsible for the deaths of 55,000 innocent individuals in Gaza should be brought to justice and face the consequences of their actions,” he added.
