MediaTek Introduces the Dimensity 9400e: A New Addition to its Flagship Line-up
MediaTek has officially expanded its renowned flagship processor series by unveiling the Dimensity 9400e. Strategically positioned as a slightly scaled-down version of its siblings, the 9400 and 9400+ models, this latest processor can be viewed as an evolved iteration of last year’s Dimensity 9300+, albeit with some refined enhancements.
Key Features of MediaTek Dimensity 9400e
The Dimensity 9400e is crafted using TSMC’s advanced third-generation 4nm process technology. This powerhouse houses an 8-core architecture, comprising one high-performance 3.4GHz Cortex-X4 core, three 2.85GHz Cortex-X4 cores, and four 2.0GHz Cortex-A720 cores. This configuration is further strengthened by an 8 MB L3 cache and a 10 MB SLC.
For memory, the processor continues to support LPDDR5X RAM, although its speed has been adjusted from the 9600 MHz seen in the 9300+ to a slightly lower 8533 MHz. On the graphics front, the chipset retains the robust 12-core Immortalis-G720 GPU, ensuring superior graphics performance.
Enhanced Connectivity and AI Capabilities
The Dimensity 9400e introduces Wi-Fi 7 support, offering a maximum data throughput of 7.3 Gbps, thus surpassing its predecessor. It also incorporates the advanced Bluetooth 6.0 technology with dual Bluetooth engines, allowing an impressive connection range of up to 5 kilometers in line-of-sight conditions.
Moreover, the chipset supports MediaTek’s latest NeuroPilot SDK, facilitating cutting-edge AI technologies from the global AI ecosystem. This includes enhancements for Multi-Modality (LMM), Large-View Models (LVM), and additional Language Models (SLM/LLM).
Gaming and Efficiency Enhancements
On the gaming spectrum, the Dimensity 9400e boasts MediaTek’s Adaptive Gaming Technology and the MediaTek HyperEngine, designed to boost performance while minimizing power consumption. Additionally, the MediaTek Frame Rate Converter is claimed to reduce power consumption by 40%, offering a more efficient gaming experience.
Anticipate the debut of the Dimensity 9400e in forthcoming models such as the OnePlus Ace5 Racing Edition and the Realme GT 7, slated for release later this month.
