Developed by Reburn, formerly known as 4A Games Ukraine, La Quimera is a futuristic sci-fi action game that was initially set to launch on Friday, April 25, 2025. Despite a prior announcement regarding a closed beta test, the release has been unexpectedly delayed. There’s currently no confirmed date for when the game will finally be accessible to the public.

In a recent communication via Discord, Dmytro Lymar, the Executive Director of Reburn, stated, “We are trying our best to get things done as quickly as possible as we try to navigate our way through the circumstances we are facing in Ukraine.” Additionally, technical challenges with Steam are being addressed, and an updated release date is expected to be announced soon.

La Quimera has generated significant buzz since its announcement, thanks to the experienced team behind it, known for their work on the Metro series. The game promises futuristic elements, intense combat sequences, and cooperative gameplay mechanics, setting high expectations among the gaming community. While initial feedback was mixed, the development team is committed to addressing criticism, suggesting that players might have to wait a bit longer for the polished final product.

In this new world, small states evolve into political entities, heavily relying on military forces. This era marks the golden age of private military corporations, known as PMCs.

Players will assume the role of an operator entangled in a web of deceit and betrayal. Whether playing solo or teaming up with two friends, players will engage in high-risk missions set in a dark future, utilizing advanced weaponry and technology to combat rival factions.
