At its latest event, Huawei unveiled the highly anticipated MatePad Pro 12.2, a tablet that stands out for its impressive specs and sleek design. As its name implies, the device features a 12.2-inch OLED display, boasting Huawei’s proprietary PaperMatte technology. This technology enhances the viewing experience with a stunning 2.8K resolution and an incredible brightness of up to 2000 nits, making it ideal for use in well-lit environments. Notably, the advanced display is a feature exclusive to the premium model, which offers 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
While Huawei hasn’t officially disclosed the processor details, it’s speculated that the Kirin series chip powers this device, following the trend of previous models. The MatePad Pro 12.2 houses a substantial 10,100 mAh battery, complemented by 100W fast charging capabilities, ensuring extended usage without frequent recharges.
The tablet operates on HarmonyOS 4.3, Huawei’s own innovative operating system. Connectivity features include WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.2, alongside a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a sophisticated audio system with four speakers for an immersive sound experience.
On the photography front, the device is equipped with a 50-megapixel rear camera capable of capturing 4K video, and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies. The tablet’s design is impressively slim, measuring just 5.5 mm in thickness and weighing 508 grams, available in two elegant color choices: black and green.
The MatePad Pro 12.2 is priced starting at approximately $920, with the high-end version featuring the PaperMatte display set at $1080. Sales commence today in Europe, and the tablet will retail for 30,000 TL in Turkey.
