Honor Magic V5: The Future of Foldable Smartphones

The tech world is abuzz as Honor prepares to launch its latest innovation, the Honor Magic V5, on July 2. Unveiled during the 2025 MWC Shanghai event, CEO George Zhao highlighted that this new model will revolutionize the foldable phone market with its cutting-edge artificial intelligence capabilities and pioneering design.

He proudly announced that the Honor Magic V5 will be the world’s lightest and thinnest foldable smartphone. While the exact specifications remain under wraps, rumors suggest that the Magic V5 will measure around 8mm in thickness and weigh between 210 and 219 grams when folded.

The CEO emphasized that the Magic V5 will be the most advanced AI-driven device in its class, featuring a comprehensive personal information system, multi-agent AI collaboration, PC-level productivity, and seamless integration with all Honor devices.

Expected Features of Honor Magic V5

Reports indicate that the Honor Magic V5 will come equipped with a stunning 7.95-inch 2K+ LTPO OLED interior display and a 6.45-inch exterior display. The powerhouse device will utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version processor, clocking speeds up to 4.47 GHz, complemented by a 1200 MHz GPU.

Boasting a robust 6,100 mAh battery, the Magic V5 will claim the title of having the largest battery capacity in a foldable phone. Charging capabilities include 80 W wired charging and wireless charging options. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the phone’s 200 MP main camera. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and Beidou satellite messaging support.
