Google has rolled out an exciting new feature to its Gemini AI assistant, known as “Scheduled Actions”. This innovative addition is accessible not only to Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers but also to users with eligible Google Workspace plans for both work and education.
One-off tasks are now more manageable. Users can simply input commands in natural language, allowing them to set tasks for a specific time or date. For instance, users can define tasks like “Send my calendar summary and unread emails every morning” or “Generate blog ideas every Monday.” The feature also supports one-time actions, such as “summarize the awards ceremony.”
This update aims to make Gemini more proactive and intelligent, aligning with the capabilities of Google’s competitors, like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, which offers similar recurring reminders to its users. During Google I/O 2025, it was announced that the Gemini platform is designed to evolve, featuring models that enhance its reasoning abilities over time.
