FBC: Firebreak Release Date Announced

The highly anticipated release date for FBC: Firebreak has been officially confirmed during the latest live stream hosted by Remedy Entertainment. Fans can prepare for intense battles against The Hiss starting this June. Previously known as Project Condor until October last year, the game is currently under development for PC (Epic Games Store and Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. Unlike previous titles from the studio, this first-person co-op adventure takes place six years after the events of Control. With The Oldest House under a stringent lockdown due to The Hiss invasion, players will become part of the Firebreak Initiative, embarking on perilous missions to confront The Hiss and restore order.

Scheduled Launch of FBC: Firebreak

During the recent live stream, it was revealed that FBC: Firebreak will be launched on June 17, 2025. Excitingly, it will be available from day one in both Game Pass and PlayStation Plus libraries. Players can choose between a Standard Edition priced at $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99 and a Deluxe Edition available for $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99. Those who purchase the Standard Edition can upgrade to the Deluxe version for an additional $10 / €10 / £7.

Game Features and Mechanics

FBC: Firebreak is designed as a three-player co-op game, where you and your allies face numerous challenges ranging from otherworldly creatures to reality-warping anomalies. Before embarking on missions, players can select from three distinct Crisis Kits, each equipped with unique tools. Options include the Crank-Operated Fluidic Ejector, which decelerates foes and assists teammates, the Electro-Kinetic Charge Impactor, delivering electrical damage, and The Big Wrench, capable of constructing turrets and combating enemies. Additionally, players will have access to grenades, support items, and supernatural amplifiers. With these resources, players can tailor their kits to match their play style and create synergies with their team.
