Details of the April 22 Attack
On April 22, assailants opened fire on tourists in the Pahalgam area of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in 26 fatalities and numerous injuries. In response, India accused the attackers of originating from Pakistan, leading to significant diplomatic actions.
India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty, expelled Pakistani undersecretaries from New Delhi within a week, halted visa services for Pakistani nationals, and revoked previously issued visas.
