CMF, a budget-friendly brand under the wing of Nothing, has unveiled its latest range of affordable audio devices, alongside its new budget smartphone, the CMF Phone 2 Pro. Among the newly launched products are three pairs of in-ear headphones: CMF Buds 2, CMF Buds 2 Plus, and CMF Buds 2a. These devices promise to deliver high-quality sound without breaking the bank.
The CMF Buds 2 Plus serve as a cost-effective alternative to last year’s CMF Buds Pro 2. They boast hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC), LDAC support, and an impressive total battery life of 61.5 hours with the charging case. Available in shades of blue and light gray, these earbuds are rated IP55 for dust and water resistance. Additionally, they come equipped with 6 HD microphones featuring Clear Voice Technology 3.0 and Wind Noise Reduction 3.0, ensuring crystal-clear call quality even in blustery conditions. The 50 dB hybrid ANC is complemented by an intelligent adaptive mode that fine-tunes noise cancellation based on ambient conditions. Audio enthusiasts will appreciate the 12 mm LCP driver, LDAC support, and High-Resolution Wireless Audio certification. There’s also personalized audio calibration via Audiodo, allowing users to tailor their listening experience through an auditory test. With spatial audio support and a low latency mode for gaming, these earbuds are versatile for various uses. The CMF Buds 2 Plus offer 14 hours of playback on a single charge with ANC off and 61.5 hours when combined with the charging case. A quick 10-minute charge provides 8.5 hours of listening time.
The entry-level CMF Buds 2a are available in dark gray, light gray, and orange. With an in-ear design that combines matte and glossy finishes, these earbuds carry an IP54 certification for dust and water resistance. Each earbud is fitted with a 12.4 mm driver composed of bio-fiber and a high-elasticity TPU diaphragm. Tuned by Dirac, the headphones integrate Ultra Bass Technology 2.0 for enhanced bass and an adjustable equalizer. These earbuds feature 4 HD microphones, offering 42 dB ANC, transparency mode, and AI-driven environmental noise cancellation (ENC) for seamless call quality. Additional features include touch controls, Bluetooth Multipoint for dual device connectivity, and a Low Latency mode aimed at gamers. The CMF Buds 2a provide up to 8 hours of use on a single charge with ANC off, extending to a total of 35.5 hours with the charging case. A 10-minute quick charge yields up to 5.5 hours of playback.
The CMF Buds 2 are equipped with 11mm custom drivers, enhanced by Dirac Opteo sound tuning and Nothing’s Ultra Bass Technology 2.0 for robust low-frequency sound. These earbuds support Bluetooth 5.4 for improved connectivity, dual device pairing, and compatibility with Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair. The updated noise cancellation feature effectively reduces up to 48 dB of ambient noise. The hybrid ANC system covers a wide frequency range of 5,200 Hz, dynamically adjusting noise reduction according to the surroundings. With 6 integrated microphones (3 per earbud), Clear Voice Technology 3.0, and spatial audio support, these earbuds deliver superior sound quality. The CMF Buds 2 are resistant to water and dust with an IP55 rating, while the charging case holds an IPX2 splash resistance rating. Users can enjoy up to 13.5 hours of battery life on a single charge, extending to 55 hours with the charging case.
