The long-anticipated Project Kennan has finally been unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase, revealing the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X handheld consoles. These cutting-edge devices are the result of a collaboration between Xbox and ASUS, promising an exciting new entry into the gaming world.
The ASUS ROG Xbox Ally will be available in a sleek white finish, while the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X will boast a sophisticated black design. The ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X is equipped with an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor and 24GB of LPDDR5X-8000 RAM, alongside a spacious 1TB storage capacity. Connectivity options include USB 4 Type-C with DisplayPort functionality and Thunderbolt 4 capability, as well as USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C input with DisplayPort 2.1 and Power Delivery support.
The standard ASUS ROG Xbox Ally will feature an AMD Ryzen Z2A processor, 16GB of LPDDR5X-6400 RAM, and 512GB of storage. It offers two DisplayPort 2.1 and USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, ensuring versatile connectivity. Both models will showcase a 7-inch 1080p display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FreeSync Premium technology, ensuring smooth and vibrant visuals.
Operating on Windows OS, these consoles are expected to provide access to popular gaming platforms such as Epic Games, Microsoft, and Steam stores. Additional features include a dedicated Xbox Guide button and enhanced trigger buttons for improved gaming experience.
