Apple has significantly upgraded its Move to iOS app, designed to facilitate a smooth transfer of user content from Android devices to iOS gadgets. This update introduces several enhancements aimed at making the transition process more efficient and comprehensive.
New Features for a Better Transition
One of the standout features of this updated app is its ability to transfer call history and voice recordings from Android devices. This is in addition to the app’s existing capabilities.
Faster Transfers with Wired Connections
Users can now enjoy faster data transfer speeds when using a wired connection, whether USB-C or USB-C-Lightning, between their Android and iOS devices. This ensures a quicker and more reliable transfer experience.
Connectivity Options
The Move to iOS app now supports connections over WiFi or Personal Hotspot, providing flexibility depending on the user’s setup. Throughout the migration process, Apple offers iOS tips to guide users, ensuring a smooth transition.
Expanded Data Transfer Capabilities
This update brings the ability to transfer Dual SIM tags and audio recordings. Audio files are exported to the Apple Voice Memos app or the Files app, based on the recording’s file format.
Language Support for Indian Users
In a move to cater to a broader audience, the app now supports several Indian languages, including Bangla, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
The updated Move to iOS app is now available for download from the Google Play Store.
