The upcoming Amazfit Active 2 Square smartwatch has been inadvertently unveiled ahead of its official launch. Thanks to early listings by retail giants Walmart and Celcom Mexico, we now have a glimpse into both the design and specifications of this anticipated device. Slated for a June 2025 release, the smartwatch is poised to attract attention with its sleek design and impressive hardware.
The Active 2 Square Premium model boasts a 1.75-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 390 x 450 pixels, all protected under a durable sapphire crystal glass, ensuring scratch-resistance. Its design is accentuated by a stainless steel bezel and dual physical buttons, offering both style and functionality. Consumers will have a choice between two strap options: premium leather and versatile silicone. The watch’s dimensions are 43.2 x 36.9 x 9 mm, and it maintains a lightweight profile at just 31.4 grams.
In terms of technology, the watch features the advanced BioTracker 6.0 PPG biometric sensor, a feature previously seen in the round Active 2 Premium model. This sensor supports more than 160 sport modes and accurately monitors heart rate using the PulsePrecision algorithm. Fueling the device is a 260 mAh battery, which promises up to five days of usage even with intensive operation. While the presence of NFC support remains uncertain, speculation about product segmentation arises from earlier references to an “Active 2 (Round)” model and a fleeting appearance on Zepp’s security page.
Pricing details are yet to be officially announced. However, considering that the round Active 2 Premium model is retailing on Amazon for $129.99, the square variant is expected to be priced in a similar range.
