The Şanlıurfa Insurance Agents Association, in collaboration with the Şanlıurfa Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s 28th Vocational Committee, recently orchestrated an impactful sales and marketing training session tailored for the insurance industry. This session was led by Turusan Bağcı, a distinguished figure in Turkey’s insurance sector and a lecturer at Istanbul Aydın University.
With 28 years of professional expertise and 15 years of academic experience, Bağcı delivered a comprehensive training program that was both insightful and beneficial to the insurance agencies and their employees operating within Şanlıurfa.
Participants were introduced to contemporary sales techniques, enabling them to refine their marketing competencies. The training underscored the critical importance of not just issuing policies but also fostering an industry that thrives on trust, knowledge, and effective communication.
The Şanlıurfa Insurance Agents Association has committed to the principle that ‘education has no age’. They plan to continue offering not only sales and marketing training but also product-focused programs. The association emphasized the importance of continuous professional development, stating, “The knowledge shared during the training contributes significantly to enhancing professional skills and developing strategies that boost customer satisfaction.”
President Nihat Fırathan of the Şanlıurfa Insurance Agents Association highlighted the necessity of such initiatives for elevating knowledge and quality within the sector. He remarked, “Today, the value of insurance work is not solely in understanding the product but also in presenting it with effective strategies. It is essential for all insurance associations across Turkey to prioritize such training events. Similarly, regular product and sales training sessions by insurance companies for their agents are crucial for the sector’s future.”
The association expressed gratitude to the participating agencies and everyone involved in organizing the event, extending special thanks to Mr. Turusan Bağcı for his invaluable contribution.

Thanks for sharing this article! I really think the emphasis on ongoing education is super important but I wonder how they measure the effectiveness of these training sessions? Are there any follow-up surveys or feedback mechanisms in place to see if the participants are applying what they learned in real life?
