Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Pocket Photo Printer Pro, setting a new standard in the realm of portable photo printing. Priced at $83, the device is currently available for pre-order and will hit the general market on June 16. This innovative printer, noted for its sleek and compact design, empowers users to print photos instantly, transforming digital moments into tangible keepsakes.
Weighing in at a mere 308 grams, the printer is crafted to fit seamlessly into a bag or even a jacket pocket. It prints on 2×3-inch photo paper, producing one vibrant photo every minute. Despite its diminutive size, the Mijia Printer utilizes dye-sublimation technology to deliver vivid colors and detailed images with a resolution of 313×313 DPI. Each print is coated with a protective layer to guard against scratches, water splashes, and fading.
One of the standout features of the device is its ability to enhance photos with augmented reality (AR) videos and audio messages. Via the Mi Home app, users can embed 15-second videos or voice notes into their prints. Scanning the physical photo with the app reveals and plays these multimedia additions. Furthermore, users can personalize their prints with an array of frames, templates, and decorative elements.
The printer supports Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and allows simultaneous use by up to three different users. It is compatible with devices running Android 8.0 and above, as well as iOS 13.0 and later versions. The device is powered by an 880mAh battery, rechargeable through a Type-C port.
