Xiaomi and Polyphony Digital have joined forces to announce a significant collaboration for the opening leg of the Gran Turismo World Series 2025. This partnership will feature Xiaomi’s flagship high-performance luxury electric vehicle, the SU7 Ultra, in the globally acclaimed racing simulator, Gran Turismo 7, available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This collaboration marks the first-ever inclusion of a Xiaomi model in the Gran Turismo series.

Meeting of Visionaries: Kazunori Yamauchi and Lei Jun
In May, Kazunori Yamauchi, the visionary creator of Gran Turismo, and Lei Jun, the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi Corporation, met in Beijing. During this visit, Yamauchi experienced an exhilarating test drive in the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and explored the Xiaomi electric vehicle factory in Yizhuang.

At the collaboration’s unveiling event, Yamauchi highlighted that the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is an outstanding model in the intelligent electric vehicle segment. Its competitive performance on the Nürburgring Nordschleife track exemplifies Xiaomi EV’s impressive engineering prowess.
Xiaomi, a global technology leader, completed its “People x Car x Home” ecosystem with the launch of its first smart electric vehicle, the Xiaomi SU7, in 2024. The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, the pinnacle of the series, incorporates numerous brand-specific innovations, including Xiaomi’s in-house developed HyperEngine V8s (27,200 rpm; 578 PS; 635 N-m) engine. This special three-engine configuration delivers 1,548 PS of power, a top speed exceeding 350 km/h, and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 1.98 seconds, setting several records in the four-door category.
The SU7 Ultra stands out with its luxurious design, featuring up to 21 carbon fiber components spread over a 5.5 m² surface for optimal weight distribution and craftsmanship. Xiaomi EV’s R&D team rigorously tests technologies such as torque vectoring and adaptive suspension on tracks like the Nürburgring Nordschleife to ensure superior safety and driving control in real-world conditions.

Xiaomi and Gran Turismo are also set to collaborate further on the Xiaomi VISION GRAN TURISMO concept car in the future.
