Renault Group Strengthens Market Presence with Robust Revenue Growth in 2024

During the third quarter of 2024, Renault Group reported impressive financial performance, registering a 6.8% increase in total revenue to reach €11.4 billion. The automotive division contributed significantly, achieving a rise of 5.1% and generating €9.8 billion in revenue. Cumulatively, the company’s total income for the first nine months surged to €39.1 billion, including €34.3 billion from its automotive operations.

Despite intensifying global market competition, Renault Group successfully maintained an operating margin of approximately 6.5% throughout the period. This resilience reflects the company’s strategic focus on efficiency, innovation, and the growing adoption of electric mobility solutions.

Strong Sales Growth Across Key Markets

The group recorded a total sales volume of 1,698,964 vehicles in the first nine months of the year, representing an increase of 3.8% compared with the previous year. Sales in the third quarter alone surged by nearly 10%, surpassing 529,000 units. Renault maintained its third position in the European market while simultaneously expanding its international presence, achieving 14.9% growth in overseas markets.

Notably, the share of electric and hybrid models in Renault’s overall sales climbed to 44%, marking a clear shift in consumer preferences toward sustainable mobility. This milestone reinforces Renault Group’s transformation strategy and its commitment to achieving cleaner, more efficient transportation.

Performance Highlights by Brand

The group’s three major automotive brands posted strong performances. The Renault brand solidified its foothold in Europe with the dynamic Renault 5 E-Tech leading the B-segment, closely followed by the enduringly popular Clio. Among the most remarkable achievements, the Dacia Sandero continued its dominance as Europe’s best-selling car across all sales channels.

Meanwhile, the Alpine brand recorded exceptional momentum, more than doubling its sales during the quarter. This growth underscores Renault Group’s ability to leverage its diverse brand portfolio to capture different segments of the global automotive market.
