It’s hard to keep track of how many times we’ve reported on Lost Soul Aside, dear gamers. The development journey has spanned over a decade, with nearly nine years since its initial announcement. During this time, periodic trailers have surfaced, reminding us of its existence, only for silence to follow, and then another trailer to emerge.

At one point, I even wrote about it as “the game whose trailer was constantly shown and whose name we forgot.” Fortunately, in recent months, we finally received the much-anticipated release date. However, in a familiar twist, another delay has been announced.

The delay was confirmed in a pre-order trailer shared by the PlayStation Japan account, revealing the new release date. Additionally, an announcement was posted on the game’s Steam page, addressing the delay.

In the announcement, the developers express their gratitude for the overwhelming positive feedback from players worldwide since the game’s reveal. They emphasize their commitment to delivering a high-quality experience, necessitating additional time to refine the game to meet their standards. Consequently, the release has been postponed to the end of August.

This announcement echoes similar statements from previous delays, citing quality enhancements and concluding with hopeful messages. My curiosity now lies in whether this will be the final postponement for Lost Soul Aside, and if it will indeed release on the newly proposed date.

We’ll find out the answer on August 29th, unless unforeseen circumstances lead to yet another delay. Let’s hope the wait will be worthwhile.
