Tehran’s Allegations Against Europe
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Ismail Bekayi, announced that Tehran plans to disclose evidence of European nations’ involvement in supporting Israel’s nuclear weapons initiatives. This revelation is based on documents Tehran claims to have acquired through an intelligence operation targeting Israel’s nuclear activities.
Press Conference Insights
Addressing the media in Tehran, Bekayi offered insights into regional and international events. On the topic of negotiations with the United States, he noted the uncertainty surrounding the timeline for future discussions. Bekayi remarked, “Any decision regarding talks will be communicated. The imposition of new US sanctions suggests a lack of serious intent from Washington. Their contradictory actions cast doubt on their actual objectives.”
Madleen Ship Incident
Bekayi also commented on the incident involving Israeli forces in international waters, where 12 individuals aboard the Madleen ship, en route to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, were detained. The Iranian spokesperson condemned the act, stating, “This ship embarked a few days ago, and what transpired was essentially a kidnapping on the high seas. The assault on this vessel constitutes piracy under international law.”
He urged global organizations to intervene against Israel’s alleged war crimes, asserting, “These events highlight the urgent responsibilities of the United Nations (UN) International Committee of the Red Cross and the UN Security Council to act swiftly to lift the blockade on Gaza. There is no justification for international bodies to remain inactive in the face of these crimes.”
Insights into Israel’s Nuclear Ambitions
Bekayi reiterated Iranian intelligence’s claim of intercepting a substantial cache of classified documents pertaining to Israel’s nuclear plans and facilities.
“Our stance on Israel’s nuclear arsenal is unequivocal, yet these intelligence documents will shed light on the perspectives of other nations,” Bekayi asserted. He added: “The involvement of certain European states in Israel’s military nuclear program is significant. Those who routinely emphasize the importance of non-proliferation and scrutinize Iran’s peaceful nuclear endeavors are, in fact, complicit in bolstering and arming Israel’s military nuclear capabilities.”
