LG is broadening its smart monitor lineup with the introduction of the Smart Monitor Swing. This new model is designed with portability in mind, featuring a unique stand equipped with small wheels for easy movement. Drawing inspiration from the previously launched StanbyMe series, LG offers a fresh perspective for both home and office environments.
The Smart Monitor Swing boasts a 32-inch touchscreen display with an impressive 4K resolution. Utilizing an IPS LCD panel, this monitor ensures vibrant visuals and can be effortlessly relocated thanks to its mobile stand. On the connectivity front, it includes three USB Type-C ports and two HDMI inputs, with one USB-C port featuring 65W power delivery to charge laptops efficiently. To maintain a tidy appearance, the monitor employs a hidden adapter design that minimizes cable clutter.
Operating on LG’s proprietary webOS, the Smart Monitor Swing facilitates instant access to popular apps like YouTube and Microsoft Office. Additionally, it supports cloud-based computing services, allowing users to operate it independently without needing an external computer. While reminiscent of the StanbyMe series, particularly in its integration of the screen into a wheeled stand, the Smart Monitor Swing omits certain features such as a remote control and built-in battery.
Currently, the LG Smart Monitor Swing is available exclusively in South Korea, priced at approximately $735. There’s no announcement yet regarding its release in other markets. This launch follows LG’s recent unveiling of another 32-inch 4K resolution smart monitor, marking a continued advancement in their smart display offerings.
