Huawei Launches Advanced Portable SSD

Huawei has introduced the Kunling eKitStor Shield 200, a next-gen portable SSD designed for professionals who demand both speed and durability. This innovative model offers substantial benefits for content creators and field workers dealing with large files.

Remarkable Speed and Connectivity

The Shield 200 is equipped with USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 technology through a USB-C interface, delivering blazing data transfer rates up to 2000 MB/s. Such speeds greatly enhance efficiency for users working with high-resolution media and complex datasets.

Unmatched Durability

What sets the Shield 200 apart is its robust construction. It features a metal chassis encased in a rubberised cover, earning an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. The device is engineered to endure falls from up to 3 meters and withstands pressures of up to 2 tonnes.

Designed for Portability and Security

Weighing just 145 grams without its protective case and 180 grams with it, the Shield 200 is both lightweight and portable. Security is a priority, with the inclusion of AES-XTS 256-bit encryption to protect sensitive data.

The SSD integrates seamlessly with Huawei’s eKitStor Toolkit, offering features such as health monitoring, encrypted backups, and cloud synchronization.

The Kunling eKitStor Shield 200 comes with a five-year warranty and is available in 1 TB and 2 TB variants, priced at $106 and $192 respectively. A 4 TB version is also slated for release in the near future.
