Emphasizing that they attach importance to the activities in line with their mission to strengthen the position of women in business life and contribute to women's employment, BNP Paribas Cardif Turkey Assistant General Manager in charge of Human Resources Ceren Höbek Semayiş stated that the Women's Empowerment Principles are among the gender equality activities within this scope. Explaining that BNP Paribas Cardif Turkey was the first country to sign these principles among all BNP Paribas Cardif Group companies serving in 35 countries, Ms. Semayiş said, "Thus, we have strengthened our efforts for our female employees under the roof of Cardif with the principles of the Women's Empowerment Principles. With our signature on the Women's Empowerment Principles, we have made commitments to provide high-level corporate leadership for gender equality, to treat women and men fairly, to respect human rights and the principle of non-discrimination, to provide health, safety and welfare for women and men, to support women with training, courses and professional development opportunities, to promote equality through entrepreneurial development, social initiatives and support that empower women. As of today, we have a high ratio of 56 percent of Cardif's female employees. We are also very close to gender equality at the management level. Forty-eight percent of our managers are women. In the recent promotions to manager and higher management positions, women have reached a high rate of 75 percent. Our female employee ratio in all promotions was realized as 61 percent."
