New Appointment as General Manager at Bupa Acıbadem Sigorta

Gökhan Gürcan, who has been the General Manager of Bupa Acıbadem Sigorta since 2010, will hand over the baton to Atilla Benli as of September 1, 2023.

Since 2021, Gökhan Gürcan, who has also served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bupa Acıbadem Sigorta, will continue to serve as the CEO of Bupa Turkey.

Atilla Benli is the new General Manager of Bupa Acıbadem, the only insurance company specialized in health insurance. Atilla Benli will take over on September 1, 2023.

Prior to his new role at Bupa Acıbadem Sigorta, Mr. Benli was the Vice Chairman and General Manager of Türkiye Sigorta and Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik.

Gökhan Gürcan, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bupa Turkey, made a statement both within the company and on his social media accounts: "As Bupa Turkey, we strive to grow in both insurance and healthcare services, to increase our efficiency and prevalence, and to this end, to acquire new companies, establish new companies and enter new business lines. We all know that it is not easy to realize all these strategies. Accordingly, we are constantly making improvements in our organization to ensure that the distribution of roles and responsibilities is effective and efficient, and we are trying to strengthen and diversify our organization with different talents at all levels.

Now it is time for another very important organizational change. In order to increase our strength in accordance with our strength, I will hand over my role as General Manager of Bupa Acıbadem Sigorta, which I have been carrying out with great enthusiasm, faith and happiness for 13.5 years, to Atilla Benli as of September 1. After September 1, 2023, I will continue to be with you in my capacity as "Chairman of the Board of Directors", to carry out strategic coordination in order to realize the dream we have built, to manage the journey of incorporation in the areas where we have completed their virtual structuring, to design the integration between the companies under the roof of Bupa Turkey and to be responsible for the execution of Bupa Turkey's strategies and goals."
