Originally launched in 2022, Evil Dead: The Game has been officially cancelled by its developer, Saber Interactive. The game, which had been ‘quietly’ disappearing from digital storefronts, has now been confirmed to be removed from all major platforms.
In a post shared on the game’s subreddit, it was revealed that Evil Dead: The Game had been taken down from both the Epic Games Store and the PlayStation Store. Saber Interactive later issued a formal statement, confirming the game’s removal from all digital sales platforms.
Official Statement from Saber Interactive:
“We can confirm that Evil Dead: The Game is being removed from all digital sales platforms. However, players who have already purchased the game will still be able to access and enjoy it. We will continue to keep all our servers operational. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the players who supported and showed interest in our game.”
At the time of writing, the game’s Steam page had also been updated. Visitors to the page are greeted with the message: “Evil Dead: The Game is no longer available on the Steam store.”
