ASUS, a longstanding player in the wearable technology sector, has quietly been making significant strides in innovation. The company has officially launched the world’s first smart wristband capable of measuring blood pressure and performing an ECG (electrocardiogram). Until now, such advanced features were exclusive to premium smartwatches.
The ASUS VivoWatch 6 AERO is a lightweight device, weighing just 27 grams, and features a 1.1-inch AMOLED display along with a 135 mAh battery. It boasts a battery life of 5 days with regular use, extending up to 7 days in power-saving mode. Besides blood pressure and ECG, this smart wristband can monitor blood oxygen levels (SpO2), heart rate, steps taken, calories burned, and sleep quality.
The VivoWatch 6 AERO includes a built-in GPS sensor, ensuring precise location and movement tracking during outdoor activities. Powered by ASUS’ next-generation Health AI 5.0 algorithm, the device analyzes your health data in real-time, delivering comprehensive insights into your body’s condition.
This smart bracelet is also designed for durability, featuring a 5 ATM water resistance certification. It is compatible with devices running Android 10 (or later) and iOS 13 (or later), with data transfer facilitated via Bluetooth 5.0.
While ASUS has yet to disclose the pricing for the VivoWatch 6 AERO, this groundbreaking device is poised to capture the interest of health and technology enthusiasts. With its impressive array of features, the VivoWatch 6 AERO is set to carve a niche in the wearable technology market.
